Pod Retreat with outdoor bath and farm pets

Relax in this unique and tranquil getaway. Nestled below the Pāpāmoa Hills walk & only a 7 minute drive to Papamoa beach & cafes, our cosy glamping accommodation is the break you’ve been looking for! Evenings can be spent by the firepit enjoying the ultimate stargazing experience, soaking in the new outdoor bath! Adjacent to the stunning Papamoa Hills walk, you can do as little or as much as you want. Meet our 2 pet cows, sheep, goats, flemish giant rabbits and chickens, kids love the space A little like glamping, our 3 pods/buildings make up your home away from home. The pods are right next to each other but separate, each linked together by a large patio and covered verandah. The main living area is in the 30m2 pod, & has a flatscreen TV with Netflix & freeview, heatpump, a mini fridge & kettle. The queen bedroom is off the lounge, as is the small office (or bedroom for a child). Outside and a few steps away from the living area is a pod with shower, toilet and sink, then beside this is the kitchen pod. It has a full working kitchen, fridge/freezer and dining table. There is a lovely covered outdoor patio area with outdoor dining table, bean bags and of course country views and plenty of space! To top it off there is the newly installed private outdoor bath, with room for two, plumbed in hot/cold water and of course fairy lights, creating the ultimate relaxing & decadent evening in. Stargazing from the bath or by the fire pit is truly special and not to be missed! There is free parking for 2 cars. The 3 pods are entirely your own space and kitchen and bathroom pods are for your use only, as is the outdoor bath and firepit. You will have your own outdoor area, but are able to visit the farm animals, chickens etc, which will be a shared space with our other airbnb. We are happy to meet with you once settled in, to introduce you to the animals and explain what's available on the property and surrounds. Set in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, we are blessed with one of the best surf and swimming beaches in NZ, along with several beautiful walks (the Papamoa Hills walk which is in our backyard, options of walking around the Mount or climbing to the Mount summit, plus the Kaiate Falls walk). Within 10 minutes drive, there are a number of special local cafes, including 'the Daily' (cafe of the year 2019), plus a huge variety of restaurants and shops. Bayfair shopping mall is 10-15 minutes drive and for some more unique shops, there is boutique shopping in the Mount (20 minutes drive). There are also 2 lovely natural hot pools nearby - Welcome Bay hot pools and the Mount hot pools, so you really are spoiled for choice! In summertime Blackstump strawberry farm is a 5 minute drive away, and a lovely spot to enjoy a real fruit strawberry icecream, complete with playground and mini-golf. Slightly further afield (a 50 minute drive) is Rotorua, with all of its thermal wonder and adrenaline activities! If bringing a dog, we can provide a tether and outdoor kennel. There are a number of dog friendly walks locally, however unfortunately the Papamoa Hills are not. However Papamoa beach is, as is Kaiate Falls, Waipuna park, the Daisy Hardwick walk etc. You will require your own transport as it is not on any bus route. There is parking space for 2 cars off the road beside the cabins. The pods are separate and require walking under a covered walkway outside to go between them. Shoes are to be left outside.
